Our vision is for all students to have a high quality education where students thrive, achieve and belong.

To see our vision come to life, there's an approach we take that guides everything we do. This approach describes the way we support students to deliver the best possible education.

High expectations

We believe in our students and have high expectations for their learning. We work with students and their families to set goals and big plans for their future. We help give students the tools and skills they need to move into further education, training or employment.

Caring and calm environment

The Berry Street School uses our own Berry Street Education Model (BSEM). BSEM promotes wellbeing in the school and supports teachers to meet the individual needs of each student.

Since being at Berry Street, I feel supported at school. I can complete my work knowing that my teachers want me to succeed and be myself.

Personalised teaching

All learners are different and have different needs. Our teaching is tailored to each student, and is informed by data, assessments and feedback.

Hands-on learning

Students use hands-on learning materials in their lessons that help build critical and creative thinking skills. So that learning reflects real life, we avoid teaching through lectures or memorising facts.

I am so happy to see my daughter’s personal and academic growth during the past two years. In regards to character strengths, I wish you used these at home too!
