Bunnings workshop

In Term 2, our students were lucky enough to participate in workshops at Bunnings Warehouse. Our Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL) students designed and made individual square bookshelves, and one of the Pre-CAL classes built a dog house for our future therapy dog.

A big thank you to Catriona from Bunnings Keysborough who ensured our students had a fantastic time while they were creating their projects, and for arranging a barbeque to be donated to the campus.

School bbq

Early in Term 3, the VCAL class successfully ran a pre-order barbeque, receiving support from local businesses. On Thursday the 19 September, VCAL students and staff ran a larger community barbeque and invited all our neighbours. The support from our local community was fantastic! People lined up for the barbeque with the sun shining, music pumping, food sizzling and positive vibes all around.

It was pleasing to see our VCAL students kicking goals with community members, as several of them are also currently undertaking work experience to develop their work-related skills and networks.

Therapy dog

Dogs4Life is another exciting elective that has been underway at the Noble Park campus since Term 3. Monica, Alan and their dogs from Dogs4Life come out to the school once a week, giving students the chance to learn how to train therapy dogs. It's such a wonderful experience for the students who are all greatly enjoying it.

It's been a whirlwind of a year so far with so many engaging and exciting things happening at the Noble Park campus. We are extremely proud of our students.
