Shepparton campus acknowledged R U OK? Day this year with posters, activities and in-depth conversations with students on mental health and the importance of connection.

Students participated in activities throughout the week that grew their knowledge, skills and ability on noticing signs and behaviours that could indicate that someone may not be doing okay.

Considering the impact COVID-19 is having on the mental health of students at the campus, staff focused on helping students manage a tough conversation that can come after asking a mate "R U OK?" in last week's emotional literacy sessions. Activities gave students ways to start a conversation and ask someone R U OK?, and how to follow up conversations when receiving challenging responses.

Students held excellent knowledge about support services in the local area, responses they could give to a mate and also who they could turn to for support if they needed to seek help for a friend.
